A Great Achievement of Saifur Rahman Chowdhury- Tobacco Control Policy Research Grantee

We express our utmost joy and Congratulate Saifur Rahman Chowdhury on his success in pursuing the Ph.D. offer (in Clinical Epidemiology) from the world-reputed McMaster University! In 2020, he was one of the grantees of the Tobacco Control Policy Research Grant Program of Bangladesh Center for Communication Programs (BCCP) and Bangladesh Tobacco Control Research Network (BTCRN), funded by the Institute for Global Tobacco Control, USA. Currently, he is obtaining his MSc in Community Health and Epidemiology from the University of Saskatchewan, Canada. 

Mr. Chowdhury was a Lecturer (Epidemiology and Research Methodology) at Begum Rabeya Khatun Chowdhury Nursing College, Bangladesh during the period from April 2018 to August 2021. He completed the Master of Public Health (MPH) program in Epidemiology from North South University, Bangladesh in 2020. Mr. Chowdhury achieved his Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSc in Nursing) degree from Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Bangladesh in 2017. He has several peer-reviewed article publications in prestigious journals, including PLOS ONE, PLOS GLOBAL PUBLIC HEALTH, and the International Journal of Health Planning and Management. He has also presented articles at a couple of international conferences. His research interests include evidence-based medicine, epidemiology, research methods, meta-analysis, and design and analysis of experiments.
