Membership

BTCRN offers both institutional and individual memberships, including student memberships. Any Bangladeshi university, institution, national and local NGO, government organization, and individual who in interested in tobacco control research and signs a declaration that they are in no way affiliated with the tobacco industry, including engaging in advertising or distribution of tobacco or tobacco-related products can be a member of the network.

Membership Rights and Privileges 

Network members are eligible to:

• Attend and participate in the activities of the network;
• Have access to a platform that provides peer guidance in creating and executing research projects and publishing research papers in national and international journals;
• Have priority access to all printed and online publications of the Network;
• Receive priority registration at Network's conferences, seminars and capacity building workshops/trainings; and
• Attend meetings; cast votes and be elected to BTCRN's Executive Committee.

Types of Membership & Fees

Institutional Membership

Any Bangladeshi university, institutions, nationals, local NGOs and government organizations, who are interested in Tobacco Control research in Bangladesh, could be an institutional member of the Network. Interested organizations can select their representative to the Network. The yearly membership fee for this category shall be 5,000.00 Taka.

Individual Membership:

The individual membership shall have following four categories:

General Member:

Any individual with Bangladesh citizenship interested in Tobacco Control research could be a general member of the Network. The yearly membership fee for this category shall be 1,200.00 Taka.

Life Member:

Any individuals with Bangladesh citizenship interested in Tobacco Control research could be a Life Member by paying 6000.00 Taka.

Student Member:

Any Individual with Bangladeshi citizenship interested in Tobacco Control research and registered as a graduate student in an academic institution could be a student member of the Network. The yearly membership fee shall be 600.00 Taka.

Affiliate Member:

Any Individual with foreign citizenship interested in Tobacco Control research in Bangladesh could be an affiliated member of the Network. The yearly membership fee shall be 3000 Taka.
